On November 24, 2024, at approximately 7:50 p.m., Prince George’s County Police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 5000 block of Lee Jay Court, Capitol Heights, Maryland. Upon arrival, they discovered 21-year-old Christian West, a resident of Hyattsville, suffering from gunshot wounds outside the Hillside Heights Apartments. West was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
