On the evening of December 30, 2018, a burst of violence at the Carriage House apartment complex in Virginia Beach shattered the community's sense of peace. When police responded to reports of a shooting on Coach Circle at approximately 8:30 p.m., they discovered a grim scene. Two men lay dead, and a third individual was suffering from serious injuries. The authorities later identified one of the deceased as Christopher Jerome Bailey, a 31-year-old man from the neighboring city of Norfolk.
