On a late November evening in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the life of Steven Terrence Watkins, a 52-year-old Black male, was abruptly ended. On November 23, 2022, police were dispatched to the 5300 block of Wesleyan Drive after a ShotSpotter alert indicated the sound of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Watkins suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite any efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
