On the night of the Fourth of July in 2024, a verbal argument escalated into fatal violence in Milwaukee, claiming the life of 42-year-old Dondras House, a Black / African American male. The incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. near the intersection of 25th and Brown streets.
During the altercation, House was shot. He was transported to a local hospital for medical attention but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office later identified him as the victim.
As of now, the Milwaukee Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances that led to the deadly shooting. No arrests have been made, and authorities are searching for an unknown suspect. The investigation into the argument that preceded the shooting is ongoing as they seek to understand the motive and bring the person responsible to justice.
