On July 4, 2024, Dondras House, a 42-year-old man from Milwaukee, was shot and killed in a violent incident that occurred near the intersection of 25th and Brown Streets. The shooting took place around 10:45 p.m., shortly after a series of other shootings in the area during the holiday celebrations. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported House to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
