It was December 13, 2021, and he was on the phone with his wife of just five months, Charlyn Wilder-Moore, discussing their future plans. In an instant, that future was violently stolen. As he walked near 18th and Atkinson, he was shot in the head and killed.
His death marked a grim milestone for the city, becoming its 191st homicide in what was a record-breaking year for violence.
The investigation into the senseless act revealed that Moore was the victim of a robbery for his gun. The authorities identified a suspect, Areon Davis, who was accused of being the getaway driver in the fatal shooting.
