On April 28, 2024, at approximately 10:55 p.m., 47-year-old Jermaine Wherry arrived at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a gunshot wound to his chest. Despite medical efforts, Wherry succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
