George Barnosky, a dedicated disability activist, was found murdered in his Tulsa, Oklahoma home on August 17, 1993. A man who used a wheelchair and had cerebral palsy, he was a vocal advocate for accessibility and was instrumental in having ramps installed in many locations within the Kendall-Whittier district. His work and his kind nature had endeared him to many in his community.
