In March of 2019, the life of 43-year-old Bryant Hampton was tragically cut short in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His body was discovered discarded on the side of a road near Turley, in the vicinity of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 66th Street North. An investigation into his death revealed that he had been a victim of gun violence, having been shot before his body was left in that location.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting pointed to a homicide, prompting a swift investigation by
the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office. Their efforts led to the identification of suspects believed to be responsible for Hampton's death. Within days of the discovery of his body, authorities made their first arrest in the case, taking a man named Monta Gaitan into custody.
Further investigation and collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, including the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and a U.S. Marshals task force, resulted in a second arrest. The apprehension of the second individual connected to the homicide brought a sense of progress in the pursuit of justice for Bryant Hampton.
