On May 19, 2024, Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a call at Pajarito Mesa, where they discovered the body of 16-year-old Jesus Quintana Cota. The teenager had died from at least one gunshot wound, and his body was found in this remote area of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
