In a story that touched the Dublin, Ohio community, 45-year-old Rachael Marie Morgan was last seen on October 2, 2025. Her father last saw her at his residence on Slateshire Drive. When he returned home from work, he discovered that his daughter had vanished, leaving behind her car, wallet, phone, and other personal items. This sparked immediate concern among her loved ones.
At the time of her disappearance, she was described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing around 120 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Her distinctive features included a missing molar on her right side, a tattoo of an eye symbol on her hip, and a star tattoo on her left hip. The Columbus Division of Police, in conjunction with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, launched an investigation into her disappearance.
The search for Rachael continued for months, leaving her family and friends in a state of uncertainty. The community held onto hope for her safe return. Sadly, the investigation took a somber turn on March 25, 2026. A person searching for arrowheads in a field on private land near Riverside Drive and Bright Road in Dublin discovered what appeared to be human remains and promptly contacted the authorities. Investigators arrived at the scene and found the remains, which were described as being decomposed down to the bones, in some bushes approximately 300 feet east of Riverside Drive. Some articles of clothing, including women's underwear and a sock, were found with the remains.
The remains were transported to the Franklin County Coroner's Office for identification. In early April 2026, the City of Dublin confirmed the remains were positively identified as Rachael Morgan. An initial examination by the coroner's office indicated no obvious signs of trauma. The Dublin Police Department took over the death investigation. Rachael was remembered by her loved ones as a cherished daughter, sister, and aunt who was full of life and had an adventurous and free-spirited personality. A celebration of her life was held on April 17, 2026.
