In the autumn of 2011, a family in Cleveland, Ohio, was forever changed by the disappearance of 24-year-old Christina Kleckner. Living with her parents on West 48th Street, Christina was a young woman who faced daily challenges. She was known to be developmentally disabled, with the emotional and mental capacity of a young child. Additionally, Christina contended with bipolar disorder, a condition for which she required several medications. Without her medication, she could become violent or suicidal. At the time she went missing, she was also in recovery for drug and alcohol addiction. Her loved ones knew her by the affectionate nicknames of "Tina" and "Tink". The evening of October 1, 2011, was the last time Christina’s parents saw her. An argument had reportedly occurred earlier in the day concerning trick-or-treating. The following morning, a sense of unease settled over the household when her father went to her room and found her pajamas, but Christina was gone. The back door of the house stood unlocked, a silent testament to her departure. A search of her room revealed that several items were missing: a denim skirt, "Bling" jeans, a denim purse, black boots, and a picture of Tinkerbell. Noticeably absent were the seven different medications she relied on daily. Her family's concern grew into a desperate search, but Christina was nowhere to be found. In the days and years that followed, the search for Christina continued, though clues were scarce. The Cleveland Police Department was notified of her disappearance, and an investigation was launched. Authorities explored the areas she was known to frequent, including the neighborhoods around West 73rd Street and Lorain Avenue, and Pearl Road and Archwood Avenue. They checked with neighbors, local hospitals, and shelters, but no trace of Christina emerged. A tip in 2017 led to a search of an area in the Edgewater neighborhood with K9 units, but it yielded no new information. Christina is described as a white female with brown hair and blue eyes, standing around 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds at the time of her disappearance. She has a distinctive scar on her left ankle from a dog bite, discoloration on her face, and walks with a limp. She may also go by the names Christine Preston or Crystal Kleckner. The circumstances surrounding Christina's disappearance remain unknown, and her case is classified as an endangered missing person, leaving her family with unanswered questions and an enduring hope for her safe return.
