The story of Trinee Washington is a deeply concerning one, marked by multiple instances of disappearance. Her journey through the system began when, as a 14-year-old in the custody and care of Cuyahoga County Job and Family Services (CCJFS), she was first reported missing from the Cleveland area on July 9, 2022. For months, her whereabouts and safety were unknown, prompting a significant investigation involving the U.S. Marshals Service's Missing Child Unit, who assisted local authorities in the search. The prolonged absence of the teenager raised serious concerns for her welfare, mobilizing law enforcement resources from both the Northern and Southern districts of Ohio to follow any leads that might lead to her recovery. After a nine-month-long investigation, a breakthrough occurred in the spring of the following year. Efforts by the U.S. Marshals led authorities to a residence in Columbus, Ohio, on the 2200 block of Jermain Drive. In April 2023, Trinee was safely recovered at this location. She was found in the company of a 41-year-old man, who was subsequently placed under investigation by local authorities with charges pending. Following her recovery, arrangements were made for Trinee to be safely returned to the care of Cuyahoga County Job and Family Services. U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott commented on the successful outcome, stating, "The continued efforts of our Missing Child Unit and the cooperation of local law enforcement led to this safe recovery. Every day mattered for this 14 yr. old girl. We can rest easy knowing she is safe." Unfortunately, this recovery did not mark the end of the concerns for Trinee's safety. According to official missing person bulletins from the Ohio Attorney General's office, she has been reported missing on subsequent occasions. One report indicates that Trinee, then 16 years old, was last seen in Cleveland on March 27, 2025. At that time, she was described as being 5'4" tall, weighing 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing pink and black leggings and a gray sweatshirt. Another alert was issued after she was reported missing again from Elyria, Ohio, on April 14, 2026, at the age of 17. In this instance, her height was listed as 5'7" and her weight as 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes; she was reportedly wearing black leggings, a white long sleeve shirt, and glasses. The case of Trinee Washington is a complex and troubling history of a young individual repeatedly going missing. While the extensive, multi-agency effort that led to her recovery in 2023 was a moment of success, the subsequent reports underscore a continuing vulnerability and risk. These later disappearances have their own sets of descriptors and last-known locations, creating a challenging situation for law enforcement. The Elyria Police Department and the Cleveland Police Department have been listed as the points of contact for the more recent cases, respectively. The recurring nature of these events paints a portrait of an ongoing struggle to ensure her safety and well-being, leaving a community concerned for a child who has been missing multiple times.
