On the evening of March 19, 2023, the Alexandria Police Department responded to reports of gunshots near the intersection of Lee Street and Bank Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered 43-year-old Eric Dewayne Perry lying at the scene; he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
