Eric Vandersypen, a 35-year-old male from Alexandria, Louisiana, succumbed to a gunshot wound on August 12, 2024. He was shot on August 9, 2024, and had been admitted to a local hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred on Polk Street in Alexandria and is under active investigation by both the Alexandria Police Department (APD) and the Rapides Parish Coroner’s Office (RPCO).
