In a tragic incident on a Thursday night in New Orleans, 22-year-old Jalen Aubert, a Black male, lost his life in what police have described as an accidental shooting. The event took place on August 10, 2023, inside a residence in the 8000 block of Sheephead Street. Aubert was in a bedroom with another 22-year-old, Anthony Wise, where they were reportedly cleaning a firearm.
