Luis Felipe Ramirez-Flores, a 28-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically shot and killed on March 10, 2019, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred early in the morning at an apartment in the Hidden Valley neighborhood. According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department , officers responded to a domestic violence call at around 6:36 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Ramirez-Flores suffering from a gunshot wound.
Despite the efforts of MEDIC, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation revealed that the shooting was domestic in nature. The suspect, 29-year-old Heather Nicole Ricci, was known to Ramirez-Flores. Ricci was charged with first-degree murder in connection with his death. She was taken into custody by the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office. Detectives interviewed witnesses who were present at the scene when officers arrived.
