On August 19, 2023, 44-year-old African American male Drapper Levar Anthony Sr. was found deceased from gunshot wounds on the back porch of a residence in the 900 block of Orange Grove Drive in New Iberia, Louisiana. Deputies from the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 3:00 a.m., where they discovered the body of Mr. Anthony, who was a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana.
