Josef Lewis, an 18-year-old male from New Iberia, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on Mardi Gras night, March 4, 2025. The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed that Lewis was fatally shot in the 200 block of Crofton Street in Iberia Parish. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire around 10 p.m., where they discovered Lewis deceased at the scene. His passing has left a deep impact on his family, friends, and the broader community.
