On November 17, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in the 200 block of Dynasty Lane in Opelousas, Louisiana. The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call at approximately 5:50 a.m. regarding the incident. Upon arrival, deputies found a black female, later identified as 34-year-old Laquanda Guillory, with gunshot wounds. Medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.
