Colby C. Mitchell, a 38-year-old resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away on November 27, 2023. Mitchell had been in a critical condition since a shooting incident that occurred earlier in November near Lafayette High School.

The shooting led to Mitchell being hospitalized, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Following his death, the Lafayette Police Department was notified, and the case saw significant developments.
