On November 8, 2024, a homicide occurred in the 200 block of CO Circle in Lafayette, Louisiana, resulting in the death of 65-year-old Rickey Christian. The incident began with a dispute that escalated into gunfire. When police responded to the scene, they found Christian suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite being transported to a local hospital, Christian succumbed to his injuries.
