In the pre-dawn hours of Saturday, March 16, 2024, a burst of violence on Patterson Street in Lafayette, Louisiana, claimed the life of Ian Bouton, a 29-year-old male. The fatal encounter, a shooting, brought his life to an end at approximately 1:02 AM.
The Lafayette Police Department immediately began an inquiry into the circumstances of Bouton's death.
Their investigation into the shooting pointed them toward a person of interest.
A week after the deadly incident, authorities made an arrest. Tyrone Ned, a resident of Lafayette, was apprehended by the Lafayette Police Department. Ned has since been charged with one count of second-degree murder in the death of Ian Bouton.
