Ian Bouton, a 29-year-old resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, was fatally shot in the early hours of Saturday, March 16, 2024. The incident occurred in the 600 block of Patterson Street near Berkley Avenue, where Lafayette police responded to reports of a shooting in progress just before 1 a.m..
