On November 9, 2024, a shooting incident occurred in the 400 block of East University Avenue in Lafayette, Louisiana, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and leaving two others in critical condition. One of the deceased victims was identified as Corey "Coco" Mouton, a 26-year-old resident of Carencro, Louisiana.
