In the late spring of 2015, the life of 51-year-old Scottie James Alfred was tragically cut short in Lafayette, Louisiana. On the evening of Sunday, May 24, 2015, Alfred was discovered inside a vehicle, the victim of a fatal shooting. The Lafayette Police Department was called to the scene and immediately began an investigation into the violent death that had shaken the community.
