D'Ante "Smoke" Savoy, a 22-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 9, 2022, in Lafayette, Louisiana. According to reports, D'Ante was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in the 500 block of N. Pierce Street. Despite the life-saving efforts of responding officers and emergency medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
