In the late hours of a Friday evening in Lafayette, Louisiana, a domestic altercation escalated to a fatal conclusion, leaving a family fractured and a father dead. On September 22, 2017, 48-year-old John Adams was shot and killed inside a residence in a tragedy that would lead to the arrest of his own son. The male victim's life was cut short in what authorities described as a family dispute turned deadly.
