A tragic incident in Lafayette, Louisiana, on December 10, 2018, claimed the life of 68-year-old Larry James Chiasson. On that Monday, Mr. Chiasson was the driver of a truck when a firearm was unintentionally discharged by a passenger, leading to a fatal crash.

The passenger was identified as 18-year-old Dawson Mullen. According to Lafayette police, the accidental firing of the weapon by Mullen resulted in Chiasson being struck. This caused the vehicle to crash, and Mr. Chiasson died at t ...
