Albert Gilbert, a 24-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on March 21, 2015, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Known affectionately as "Droopie" by his friends and family, Albert was a native of Carencro. He was a hardworking individual, holding two jobs at the time of his death—working for Munchies Lunchbox Express and Magnolia Properties Janitorial Services. Albert was remembered for his sense of humor, his smile, and his ability to bring joy to those around him.
