In the early morning hours of a Tuesday in Lafayette, Louisiana, a senseless act of violence claimed the life of 70-year-old Stanford David Mouton. On May 21, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Mouton was asleep in his bed inside his home on Macklyn Street when a stray bullet pierced through his residence, striking and fatally wounding him. He was a male. The tragic incident was a result of a shooting that occurred nearby, making Mouton an innocent victim caught in the crossfire.
