In the late hours of a Tuesday night in Lafayette, Louisiana, the sound of gunfire shattered the calm at an apartment complex on Robley Drive. When the echo of the shots faded, 18-year-old Toren Martin was left with multiple gunshot wounds. The Lafayette Police Department received a 911 call just before midnight on June 25, 2024, reporting the shooting.
