Xavier Batiste, a 19-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 27, 2021, in Lafayette, Louisiana. The incident occurred outside a Waffle House on North University Avenue. According to reports, Xavier Batiste was found inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
