On February 27, 2024, D'ontae Bethley, an 18-year-old resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, lost his life due to a shooting incident. The shooting occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 12:30 am, in the 900 block of North 37th Street.
D'ontae Bethley was found deceased at a residence in the 1300 block of North 38th Street. Another victim, Luis Servin, 19, was located on North 37th Street and was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
