In the summer of 2017, the life of 18-year-old Deon Montra Womack was tragically cut short in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On Tuesday, July 11, 2017, the young man, a resident of the city, was found deceased, having been shot. His body was discovered in the driveway of a home in the 3200 block of Kimberly Drive, located in the Oak Villa neighborhood. Womack himself lived just around the corner on Syble Drive.
The investigation into the shooting quickly led to a suspect.
A 19-year-old named Tyreece Holliday was arrested in connection with Womack's death. In a strange turn of events, it was noted by authorities that the address listed for Holliday was the very same Kimberly Drive address where Womack's body had been found.
Following his arrest, Tyreece Holliday was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Deon Womack.
