In the late hours of a Saturday night in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a dedicated officer's life was tragically cut short in the line of duty. Sergeant Shawn Thomas Anderson, a 43-year-old male veteran of the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, was shot and killed while investigating a rape case. For 18 years, Anderson had served his community, earning accolades and a reputation as a public servant who often handled high-risk warrants. He was also a husband and a father to two children.
