On a summer night in Baton Rouge in July 2014, the lives of two men, Travis Jones, 22, and Daniel Boudreaux, were cut short by gunfire. The men, both experiencing homelessness, were shot in the early morning hours. Jones was discovered in the middle of a street by police responding to reports of gunfire, while Boudreaux was found on the porch of a nearby abandoned house.
