Demond Issac 'Unk' Foley, a 36-year-old Black male from New Orleans, Louisiana, tragically lost his life to gun violence on Monday, July 8, 2024. Born in New Orleans on January 21, 1988, Foley was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who was self-employed after being educated in the New Orleans Public School System.
Details surrounding the shooting have not been made public, and as of now, there is no information available regarding any suspects or arrests in connection with
his death. The case remains unsolved. Foley is remembered by his loved ones as a cherished member of his community.
He leaves behind four children, Keimond Foley, Gavin and Gemond Jones, and Kiah Williams, as well as his girlfriend, Peaches Keller. He is also survived by his four sisters, Stacy, Connie, Leslie, and Desiree Foley, along with a host of other relatives and close friends. A memorial service to honor his life was held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Holy Anointed House of Prayer, with interment following at Providence Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Metairie.
