In the late hours of a New Orleans evening, Eddie Matthews, a 64-year-old man, was found with multiple gunshot wounds at the corner of South Liberty Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. It was around 10:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024, when his life was tragically cut short by an act of gun violence. The scene, captured on surveillance footage, marked the start of a complex investigation for the New Orleans Police Department.
