On May 9, 2023, 27-year-old Denzell Montrell Marshall, a native and resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, was found unresponsive inside a vehicle in the 3100 block of Rue Parc Fontaine in the Algiers neighborhood. The New Orleans Coroner confirmed that Marshall died from a gunshot wound to the head, and his death was ruled a homicide. The incident remains under investigation by the New Orleans Police Department.
