In the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans, a community was shaken by the violent death of 27-year-old Denzell Montrell Marshall. On Tuesday, May 9, 2023, Marshall was fatally wounded by gunfire, a tragedy that would cut his life short and leave a family grieving. A native of New Orleans, he was known to have attended L. B. Landry High School and worked as a warehouse worker.
