On July 13, 2021, at approximately 2:30 a.m., 34-year-old Louis Madison, an African American male, was fatally shot in the 1400 block of Shirley Drive in New Orleans, Louisiana. A woman was also injured in the incident and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The New Orleans Police Department responded to the scene following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered Mr. Madison suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
