Anthony Michael Barre, known by his stage name "Messy Mya," was a 22-year-old African American male from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a well-known local rapper and comedian, famous for his YouTube videos that showcased his brash and comedic personality. Tragically, Messy Mya's life was cut short on November 14, 2010, when he was shot to death in the 7th Ward of New Orleans.
