Pernell Richardson, a 17-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 14, 2018, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Pernell, affectionately known as "Manny" by his friends and family, was found inside a car with multiple gunshot wounds on North Prieur Street and Franklin Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Pernell had attended both Abramson Sci Academy, one of the highest-performing schools in New Orleans, and Travis Hill School, a high school located within the New Orleans
