Ludie Cochrane, a 42-year-old man from New Orleans, Louisiana, was found dead on January 10, 2020, outside a home in the Lower Ninth Ward. Initially, the New Orleans Police Department labeled his death as unclassified. However, after an autopsy, the coroner determined that Cochrane died from a gunshot wound and ruled his death a homicide. The investigation was then switched to a murder case.
