Cornelius "Ponnie" Garrison, a 54-year-old African American man from New Orleans, Louisiana, was tragically shot and killed on September 22, 2020. Garrison was a well-known figure in his community and worked at Ruth Chris Steak House. He was the beloved son of Cornelius Garrison Jr. and Sandra Fontenette-Garrison, and he left behind two sons, a daughter, and three grandchildren.
