In the city of New Orleans, the life of a 24-year-old recording artist, Torey Riley, was violently cut short on January 28, 2017. On that fateful day, Torey, an African American male, and his 19-year-old brother, August Riley, were both gunned down in what was later classified as a homicide. The double murder sent ripples through the community and prompted an extensive investigation by the New Orleans Police Department.
