On April 20, 2008, Michael Ray Allen Jr., a 32-year-old African American male from New Orleans, Louisiana, was tragically shot and killed. According to reports, Michael Allen was leaving his car on the 4700 block of Miles Drive when an unidentified gunman approached and opened fire. He was subsequently transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
