In the early evening of a Friday in New Orleans, a tragic event unfolded that cut short the life of 36-year-old Oilber Ignacio Andino. On January 26, 2024, Andino was walking in the Michoud area of New Orleans East, holding a toddler in his arms, when he was targeted in a fatal shooting. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Michoud Boulevard, near the Interstate 10 exit.
