A quiet morning in the Lower Ninth Ward was shattered by violence on March 18, 2024, leaving a family and community to mourn the loss of Kent Anderson. The 45-year-old Black male was fatally shot in the 1800 block of Charbonnet Street. The incident occurred at approximately 10:31 a.m., a time when the neighborhood was just beginning its day.
