Joseph Daniel McIntire, a 59-year-old White male, was driving through the Gravier area of New Orleans late on the night of May 23, 2015, when gunfire tore into his vehicle near the intersection of Conti Street and North Tonti Street. The shots struck him multiple times, leaving him critically wounded as the city around him carried on, unaware that a quiet route home had turned into a fight for survival.
