On July 19, 2024, at approximately 8:01 p.m., Baltimore Police officers responded to a shooting in the 500 block of North Kenwood Avenue in the McElderry Park neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 12-year-old Breaunna Cormley suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
