In the early hours of a Saturday morning in New Orleans, what appeared to be a single-car accident would soon reveal a more violent story. On July 27, 2019, police responded to a call about a gray Chevrolet Camaro that had crashed into a utility pole in the 2200 block of Amelia Street. Inside the vehicle, they found 18-year-old Dante Maurice Overton, a male, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
